Who Should Take This First Aid at Work Course?

All organisations should carry out a risk assessment to establish if they need first aiders in the workplace. The number of first aid qualified staff will be based on your risk profile.  Generally, organisations with 5-50 employees are recommended to have at least one person trained in first aid.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that first aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment. Even in a small, low-hazard business there is always the possibility that an accident or sudden illness may occur. Therefore, it is important to have someone available to take charge of these arrangements. Provision of qualified first aiders becomes even more important if you have employees with pre-existing medical conditions.
