If you operate a high-risk workplace like a construction site or factory, you may require a 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course, which we do not currently provide.
Do I need a first aid certificate for an SIA licence?
Yes, the SIA mandates that anyone applying for a Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence (or renewing one) must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate before they can start their security training.
How long is a first aid certificate valid for?
The EFAW certificate is valid for 3 years. After this period, you must retake the course to maintain your status as a qualified first aider.
