DURATION AND ASSESSMENT

Our food safety in manufacturing course is delivered online. This e-learning course guides you through the qualification at your own pace, giving you the option to study from home or your place of work. This fully interactive programme is easy to use and voiced over to help aid your online learning experience.

Upon completion of your online course, the candidates book and attend a ninety-minutes multiple-choice examination. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus and achieve a pass mark of 60% (27/45). Learners will receive a Distinction if they achieve a pass mark of 80% (36/45). Results are available usually within seven working days.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion candidates will receive a Level 3 award in food safety in catering issued by Highfield awarding body for compliance (HABC). The qualification is recognised across the UK and is a part of the  Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Also, it is supported by People1st, the Sector Skills Council for hospitality and catering

The law requires that all food handlers need to be trained according to their food handling work activities.

These qualifications will assist food business operators to prove that they have displayed due diligence by enrolling their food handlers on a course that is suitable for the work they do and therefore compliant in the eyes of the law.

On obtaining Food Safety qualifications, employees who handle food will gain a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved.
