Note: This asbestos awareness course is endorsed by Highfield awarding body. It covers how to recognise asbestos but it does not qualify you to remove it. Working with asbestos requires practical training alongside courses.
The buildings that are built before the year 2000 are likely to contain asbestos. The dangers that asbestos presents are serious since it is responsible for around 5,000 deaths per year. Therefore, anyone who could disturb asbestos or asbestos-containing materials must be competent so that they can work safely.
